What We Do

Everything A Metal Roof Needs, From One Specialist.

From new installations to re-roofing, roof plumbing, cladding, skylights and edge protection, we cover the full metal roofing envelope. Because it is all we do, every part is delivered to the same standard and no part gets handed to someone else.

Metal Roofing

New metal and Colorbond roof installations built for Sydney's heat, storms and coastal exposure, specified from the deck up.

Re-Roofing

Complete re-roofing and metal roof replacement for tired tile or ageing metal roofs across Sydney, managed end to end.

Roof Plumbing

Box gutters, rainheads, downpipes, flashings and drainage detailed to handle real Sydney rainfall loads.

Commercial Roofing

Industrial and commercial roofing across Sydney, programmed around site access, other trades and operating buildings.

Metal Wall Cladding

Architectural metal wall cladding systems that tie facade and roofline into one weathertight envelope.

Flashings & Ventilation

Custom flashings, fascia, gutters and roof ventilation. The details that decide whether a roof lasts.

Skylights & Roof Lighting

Fixed skylights, fibreglass and polycarbonate sheeting installed and flashed as part of the roof, so natural light never becomes the weak point.

Roof Edge Protection

Temporary roof safety rails and edge protection systems, installed so the roof can be worked on safely and compliantly.

Covered Outdoor Areas & More

Carports, awnings, sunrooms, decking and other structures that extend your roofline, built and finished to the same standard as the roofs above them.

Complete Roofing Systems

We Scope The Whole Roof.
Not Just The Sheets.

A roofing proposal should account for more than the visible sheeting. Starline scopes, specifies and prices the complete roofing system, together with the work required to install it safely and properly.

01

Support & Underlay

Battens, substrates, insulation and sarking are assessed and specified before the new roof sheeting is installed.

02

Sheeting & Profile

The roof profile, material thickness and coating system are selected to suit the building, location and environmental exposure.

03

Flashings & Interfaces

Custom flashings are detailed around walls, ridges, penetrations and junctions to create a properly integrated roofing system.

04

Drainage & Discharge

Gutters, sumps, rainheads, outlets, downpipes and overflows are sized and coordinated to manage the required rainfall load.

The Complete Project Scope

The roofing system is only part of the project. Where required, our proposals also account for:

  • Skylights and ventilators
Removal, replacement or integration of roof-mounted fixtures and penetrations.
  • Roof edge protection
Safety systems required to complete the work safely and compliantly.
  • Access and material handling
Scaffolding, cranes, hoists and other equipment required for site access and delivery.
  • Removal and disposal
Demolition, loading, transport and lawful disposal of existing roofing materials.
  • Temporary protection
Weatherproofing, staging and protection measures required during construction.
  • Associated roof works
Alterations or coordination involving existing services, penetrations and adjoining building elements.

These items can materially affect the cost and delivery of a roofing project. Identifying them before work begins creates a clearer proposal, fewer surprises and a more reliable project outcome.

Starline scopes and prices the complete roofing project, not simply a square-metre rate for roof sheets.

Project Fit

The Work We Take On.

We are a specialist, not a general roofer. Being straight about that up front saves everyone time, so here is exactly where we fit.

Best Suited To

  • Complete metal roof replacements
Full metal re-roofs and tile-to-metal conversions.
  • New builds and major extensions
Roofing delivered from architectural plans and coordinated with the builder's program.
  • Commercial and industrial roofing
Warehouses, factories, schools and operating buildings.
  • Complete roof plumbing packages
Box gutters, rainheads, downpipes, flashings and drainage systems.
  • Metal wall cladding
Coordinated roof and wall systems forming a complete external envelope.
  • Strata and portfolio renewals
Planned and staged roofing programs across multiple buildings or sites.

Have a project like this? Send us your plans, scope or site details and we will confirm whether Starline is the right fit.

Better Handled By Others

  • Minor leak repairs and patching
These are generally better suited to a dedicated roof repair contractor.
  • Emergency call-outs
Our work is inspected, scoped and programmed in advance.
  • Tile roof repairs and maintenance
Our trade focus is metal roofing, cladding and roof plumbing.
  • Roof cleaning, painting and restoration
We replace roofing systems rather than resurface existing roofs.

This is not a judgement on the project. It simply reflects the work our team, systems and experience are structured to deliver well.

Before You Enquire

We're Probably Not
The Cheapest Quote.

We'd rather say that now than waste your time. If you are collecting three quotes and taking the lowest, we will not be it, and that is fine.

What you get instead is a roof that is scoped properly, priced honestly and built once. Most of our work comes from builders who have already tried the other way.

  • We inspect before we price. No sight-unseen numbers over the phone. A real scope needs a real look at the roof.
  • One price, the whole roof. Sheeting, flashings, gutters and drainage are all in the scope, not extras that surface later.
  • The price holds. We scope thoroughly up front so the number at handover is the number you signed.
  • We take on fewer jobs. Roofing is all we do, and we programme it properly. That means we are booked ahead, not on your roof tomorrow.

Questions

The Things People Ask Us First.

Which areas do you service?

We service Greater Sydney, including the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, North Shore and Northern Beaches, Hills District, Western and South Western Sydney, St George and Sutherland Shire, and the Macarthur region.

How much does a new metal roof cost?

Every roof is different: size, pitch, access, the state of what is up there now and the roof plumbing all move the number. That is why we inspect first, then put one fixed price in writing for the whole job. The assessment is obligation-free.

Do you provide written quotes?

Always. After the inspection you receive a written proposal with a fixed price for the whole job, covering sheeting, flashings, gutters and drainage.

Is a site inspection free?

For most metal roofing, reroofing and roof plumbing projects across Sydney, yes. The inspection and scope review come before any commitment, and we confirm when you enquire.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are a licensed NSW roof plumbing and home improvement contractor (licence 358592C), fully insured with workers compensation and $20 million public liability cover. Certificates of currency are available on request.

How long does a reroof take?

Most residential reroofs run between one and three weeks depending on size, access and weather. We give you a clear program after the inspection.

Can you reroof while we stay in the home?

Yes. We stage reroofing works to keep the property weathertight and liveable throughout, with clear communication on each day's work.

Can you reroof a house with solar panels?

Yes. The panels are disconnected and reinstated by a licensed solar electrician, and we coordinate directly with them so the removal, the reroof and the reinstall line up without holding the job up.

Do you remove and dispose of the old roof?

Yes, removing and disposing of the old roof is part of a reroof. Where the existing roof contains asbestos, removal can be arranged.

Do you work with builders and project managers?

Regularly. We integrate into existing programs, attend site meetings and provide the documentation and safety compliance that commercial projects require.

Do you handle the roof plumbing too?

Yes. High-capacity box gutters, rainheads and drainage are part of our capability, all delivered within one coordinated scope.

Do you install Colorbond roofing?

Yes. Colorbond steel is one of the main materials we work with across Sydney, in a range of profiles and colours. We help you choose a profile and colour that suits the building, its pitch and its exposure, and we confirm the exact specification in your written proposal.

How long does a metal roof last?

A properly specified and installed metal roof lasts for decades. Environmental factors matter, though: proximity to the coast and salt exposure affect how a roof and its coating age, so we take your location into account when we specify the material. The steel and coating carry manufacturer warranties, and we confirm the expected life for your product in the proposal.

What warranty comes with a new metal roof?

You receive our workmanship warranty, and the steel and coating carry their own manufacturer warranties. We confirm the specific terms in your written proposal.

What should I include in my enquiry?

Roof type, approximate size, current condition and your timeframe are all helpful, along with whether you are a homeowner, builder, developer or property manager.

Ready When You Are
